Memberships & Fees
The Club memberships annual Subscription commence from December 1st each year and runs to 30th. November. We have three (3) levels of membership, Life, Adult, and Junior ( Juniors are 12 years to 17 years).
New Adult members will be asked to pay a once off joining fee of $25, Juniors $15 and a yearly membership Subscription of $25 for adults and $15 for Juniors (first year totalling $50 for adults and $30 for Juniors). Every year after, if membership currency is maintained, will be an annual Subscription of Adults $25 and Student and Juniors $15.
Workshop fees are applied on days you attend, Daytime $5 and Evening $4 per member attending.
Membership Subscription payments for proceeding year will be payable from December 1st and must be paid no later than January 31st to be considered as a financial member for current year.
Non- financial members (after 31st January) will not be able to use the club facilities, will not hold a vote at any club meetings and will be considered non – financial members of CGC. Non – financial member may pay the club Subscription fee by the 31st January and resume their roll as a full member. If fees are not paid by that date the person is not considered a member of the CGC under its constitution and if re-joining may be required.
Annual subscriptions will be pro-rata if joining after August 1st.
Workshop Session Times
Workshops are where members come into the club rooms, use machinery, cut stones or just have a chat. At many workshop sessions, a Supervisor is available to show members what to do.
Metal casting training is by arrangement only.
General Workshop
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 8.15am - 2.00pm
Monday evenings 5.00pm until 8.00pm
Silver-Smithing
Monday evenings 5.00 pm - 8.00 pm.
Saturday 08.15 am to 2 pm.
Faceting
Monday evenings 5.00pm - 8.00pm
Wednesdays 8.15am - 2.00pm
Training
Training is provided in all areas of lapidary and allied crafts carried out at the club, for all members.
Other Information
STATE BODY – The club is affiliated with QLACCA (Queensland Lapidary and Allied Crafts Club Association Inc.)
OPEN DAYS – The Historical Village has Open Days, several times during the year. Where possible, the club opens on those days and as we have our own showroom area, our jewellery is for sale on these and every other day we are open.
INSURANCE – All our members are covered by insurance while they are attending Club organised functions, field trips and at our own workshops. These policies are organised through QLACCA.
