Thanks to all who gave their time to make this event a success, to all members of the public who attended, to the Caboolture Historical Village for providing an amazing venue for the show, and to village groups such as the blacksmith and railway group who opened for the day to add to the experience of attendees
The Club organises field trips, usually once a year, and has shorter trips on occasion in and around SE QLD. There is no need for a fossicking licence whilst travelling on a Caboolture Gem Club Field Trip, as the Club has this covered. It is included in the membership fees.
The Field Trips are Tag Along style with Club patrons meeting up in a town in your own vehicle. Self-sufficiency is expected, with most participants camping. Whether it's camper trailers or camper vans, we usually stop in caravan parks, however some trip members do book cabins or other types of accommodation on short trips.
Some extended trips require overnight stops, so flexibility and long haul travel can be required.
